Believe it or not, you can make restaurant-level steak frites with an herbed compound butter in your air fryer.

Ingredient:

  • 1 large (1 1/2 pounds) bone-in ribeye steak (about 1 1/2-inch thick)
  • 2 teaspoons plus 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
  • 3 tablespoons cultured unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons thinly sliced fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 14 ounces frozen hand cut-style fries (from 1 [28-ounce] package)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked flaky sea salt
