Ingredient:

  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest plus 1 tablespoon juice
  • 12 ounces fresh Mexican chorizo, casings removed
  • 2 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeƱo chile slices, cut into half moons
